In the spirit of transparency, there are a few things I’d like to say about my blog. You might have noticed an ad or two while you’re reading and wondered, Wait – isn’t that sort of contrary to what simple living and minimalism is all about? I hear you, and I struggled a lot with deciding whether or not to place ads on Emily Lightly.
At the same time, I am trying to make a living out of doing what I love. I have big dreams to one day write a book or create a course that provides value to you and that could also support me. In the meantime, the most feasible way for me to continue working on this blog is to employ the use of things like ads and affiliate links, or potentially in the future, brand collaborations (only with companies I actually love, of course).
All of these things help support my work and allow me to continue creating content that helps others and that you (hopefully) enjoy reading.
I promise to always be transparent and let you know when something contains an ad or affiliate link. I also promise to only ever show you products that I personally believe are great – whether they are high quality, ethically or sustainably made, or from a brand that I love and support.
While this might still classify me as an ‘influencer’, my goal is that my influence will encourage others to consume more consciously, mindfully, and with more intention.
Unless otherwise specified, all content shown on Emily Lightly (including blog posts, photos, and branding) have been created by me. Please do not use these without my permission. If you would like to request permission please contact me.
If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, head over to my Contact page and send me a message. Thank you for your support!
